At over 35,000 miles, the Clipper 07-08 Race will be the World's longest yacht race and it take some ten months for the yachts to return to the UK host port in Liverpool, European Capital of Culture 2008, for their jubilant finish in the summer of 2008.

Keeping with the successful format of the Clipper 05-06 Race, a fleet of ten sleek, Dubois designed 68-foot yachts will be contesting the “Clipper World Cup.” Striking new challenges will be faced by the brave crews who take their first step into becoming round-the-world yachtsmen. Taking on the challenge of nature in the raw and aiming to become an around the world sailor is the ultimate challenge.

As race organizers, we have one very simple philosophy. We want people to finish the race saying, “That's the best thing I have done in my life.” We hope they will add, “So far,” because then we know we have literally widened their horizons.
